SHIPPING & FULFILLMENT

SpecialOrbits currently ships all orders with either UPS or USPS. If you have any questions, please contact: sales@specialorbits.com

Domestic Shipping
Standard orders (non-personalized) are typically processed between 1–3 business days and then shipped the method of your choice. Ground shipments are sent either UPS or USPS based on order type and our discretion. Expedited orders are sent next day as long the order is placed by 2PM EST.

International Shipping
We currently offer USPS options for international shipping. We strongly recommend using USPS Priority or Express methods if you need your package to arrive in a time sensitive manner. Please note, however, even with these shipping methods, transit times may vary due to customs delays. First Class International, while an affordable method, may vary in transit time and reliability depending on your own country's postal system.

Special Orbits is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the purchaser.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you accept international orders?
Absolutely, and I say that with a couple of caveats:
• All our goods are shipped from the U.S. and accordingly may be subject to customs and VAT. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply to you. 
• Things will take a little longer to get to you. Expect to receive something 14-21 days from the time you place your order. 
To minimize these inconveniences, we do our best to prioritize international orders and get them out as soon as possible, and offer the most reasonable shipping+handling rates possible.

Is my transaction secure?
Privacy is a huge concern. We will never share or sell your information to any third party, and the information we collect is solely used to contact you about your order if necessary. Transactions on our site are secured using up to 256-bit ssl encryption technology to ensure that your personal information (your name, address and credit card number) stays secure as it travels to our payment processing system.

How long does it take for my order to ship?
Standard orders are typically processed between 1-3 business days. Please email us if you have any questions about your order. Expedited orders are sent same day as long the order is placed by 2pm EST.

What is your return and refund policy?
Unused and unopened orders may be returned within 15 days of receipt for a refund. Once we receive the returned item(s) the charges will be credited to you (shipping costs are non-refundable). Used, opened, and/or any final sale items cannot be returned. Any personalized orders are non-refundable once your order is confirmed.

Do you charge sales tax?
We are not required to collect sales tax on any orders outside the state of New York. For all New York orders a sales tax of 8.5% does apply.

PAPER & PRINTING

What kind of paper do you print on?
The standard stock for greeting cards is a heavy weight 110lb. Cover stock in natural white that has a textured finish. Much of our stationery is paired with matching natural white envelopes with a european style (pointed) flap. For the fine art prints, it is a Hahnemühle archival paper stock.

Are you environmentally friendly?
Absolutely. Our stationery is printed on FSC-certified paper stock. We prefer and use local vendors as much as possible. We also strive to do our part by using resources responsibly (reusing scraps etc.) to reduce waste.

PRIVACY POLICY & SECURITY

This online privacy policy applies to information collected through our website and not information collected offline. By using our site, you consent to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy & Security policies. By placing an order through our site you consent to our Customer Service policies. We reserve the right to change these policies at anytime. Please contact us if you have any questions about the above information.

All data submitted is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Any data submitted in relation to a purchase is also encrypted before being sent to our payment gateway provider for authorization. We employ a variety of measures to protect your personal information when it is submitted to our site. The payment gateway provider is required by law to keep this information confidential. We do not store any financial information (credit cards, social security numbers, etc.) on our servers. The personal information we do store on our servers (name, address, email, phone number, etc.) is protected by standard industry-wide security measures. Compromising the security measures employed by us or by our payment gateway provider is punishable by law.

Fraud Prevention
Internet fraud is a serious matter both legally and personally and we take it seriously. We encourage you to be cautious about submitting your financial information online and to vet any organization which purports to protect your information. If you feel that you have been the victim of fraudulent purchase activity through our store, please contact your bank (or related financial institution) immediately. We will do everything in our power to prevent the processing of fraudulent orders, inclusive to contacting you by phone or email to verify your payment and shipping information.

Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comely with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property or safety. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

The information you do provide us may be used in any of the following ways:

The information you submit to us, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or requested service.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Make sure your order qualifies. Orders may be returned for an exchange so long as the order:

– is damaged or if the production quality was not as promised.
– is returned within 15 days of receipt
– was not purchased on final sale

Please keep the tracking number and any other relevant shipping information in the unlikely event we do not receive your return shipment.

Await Credit
Once a qualified refund is received we will process your refund as soon as possible. The charges placed on your card will be credited to you, though shipping costs are non-refundable.  Please note that refunds may take up to ten (10) business days to show on your account due to varying processing times between payment providers.
